"Monetizing Non-core Assets... Enhancing Financial Soundness"

SK Hynix explained, "As global semiconductor industry facility investments have expanded recently, there has been an increasing trend to improve asset efficiency and financial soundness through asset monetization, in addition to investment through borrowing." The company stated, "In line with this trend, we plan to pursue the monetization of the non-core asset, the processing center."
The company intends to utilize the funds secured from this sale for technological development and investments in future industries.
SK REIT submitted an application for authorization for this transaction to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport on the same day. The two companies plan to obtain approval through their board of directors in July and finalize the transfer process in the latter half of this year upon the confirmation of the sale price. After selling the processing center, SK Hynix will lease and utilize the facility from SK REIT.
Kim Woo-hyun, Vice President of SK Hynix (Chief Financial Officer), stated, "In a business environment with increased uncertainties, slimming down assets and managing financial structure stably have become crucial for companies."
