'2023' Global Disabled Youth IT Challenge '(GITC)'[LG Electronics provided.Retailing and DB ban] (Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Aram announced on the 31st that it held the '2023 Global Disabled Youth IT Challenge (GITC)' online preliminary with the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Disabled Rehabilitation Association.The Global Disabled Youth IT Challenge is a competition since 2011 to establish a foundation for social entry by enhancing the ability to utilize the information of youth with disabilities.This year, more than 500 people with disabilities who were selected through their own qualifiers in 17 countries participated in the competition in six sports.The competition was divided into applications such as PowerPoint utilization ability, Excel function and data calculation ability, and Internet search utilization ability, video shooting and editing, autonomous vehicle coding ability, and ideas and IT utilization ability to improve the lives of the disabled..The finals will be held in Abu Dhabi, Arab Emirates in October.Awarding and prize money will be awarded to the top overall and excellent participants.Yoon Dae -sik, executive director of LG Electronics' Foreign Cooperation, said, “The disabled youth who participated in the competition are becoming the foundation for social advancement by entering or employed in IT -related fields.”"I'll."rice@yna.co.kr
