Blackpink made history on July 2 (local time) by headlining the British Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival in London.

Hyde Park is the largest music festival in the UK, featuring artists from a variety of genres, including rock, hip-hop, electronic and R&B. Blackpink became the first K-pop artist to perform at Hyde Park, as well as the first K-pop artist to headline the festival, raising the profile of K-pop.

Blackpink performed their signature songs such as "How You Like That", "Pretty Savage", "Lovesick Girls", "Kill This Love", and "DDU-DU DDU-DU", receiving a warm welcome from the audience. In addition, they also performed Korean songs such as "Butterfly", " Whistle", and "Last Scene", allowing the audience to sing along to the Korean lyrics.

Blackpink's performance was a big hit in the UK as well. BBC said, "Blackpink has made history. Now they are one of the biggest groups in the world, beyond K-pop." NME also said, "K-pop is not yet mainstream at British music festivals, but Blackpink's performance could change everything."

Blackpink raised the profile of K-pop with their performance, and they are expected to continue to grow as a global artist.
